Katie Wachowiak’s deep rooted connection to nature inspires her unique use of seasonal flowers in unexpected creations. Katie believes that simplicity is beauty, and applies this mantra to palettes whether they be dynamic and bold, or subtle and soft.

Specializing in weddings and events, Katie travels across Michigan and beyond translating her garden sensibility into one-of-a-kind design concepts. Creative collaboration is at the heart of each project Katie works on. Drawing from client visions and the love of each couple, Katie uses floral design as a story-telling device to create fresh and breathtaking results.

The gardenlike lushness of Katie’s work is attributed to her close connection to fresh cut flowers. Katie is a proud member of her family’s flower farm and has engaged in slow flower practices before it became trendy. As stewards of the land, Katie’s family uses traditional farming practices to maintain the integrity of their flowers. GMOS, sprays and chemicals go strictly against her family values, and all plant waste, from processing to final event, is returned to the soil as nutrient rich fertilizer. With amazing seasonal flowers right in her backyard, carbon emissions from flying in products is greatly reduced, and you can rest assured you’re choosing a sustainable practice.
